Drum Boogie 2009 was a FREE one day music festival on the lawn of Cornell Park, Rondout Historic District of Kingston, New York on Saturday, September 19th, 2009 from 12 Noon to 7 PM. One hundred drummers participated in an opening ceremony followed by an afternoon of concerts of top name performers of various styles of drumming from around the world.

We were all tremendously saddened by the recent passing of Kathy Janeczek, City Clerk of Kingston, who assisted us in the planning stages of the festival. As a devoted public servant and organizer, her spirit lives on in Kingston and will be present at the Drum Boogie Festival.
